Restarting Dog Poop Service: What Returning Customers Need
If dog waste service has been paused, restarting is a good time to update the plan. The yard may be the same address, but the current condition, dog count, access, and available route can be different from when service stopped.
Start with the date of the last thorough cleanup
Tell us when the yard was last fully picked up, whether you have done spot cleanups since, and which areas your dogs currently use. An honest estimate is more useful than guessing that the yard looks “about normal.”
Mention heavy leaves, long grass, snow cover, or a new dog run. These details help us understand what can be seen and accessed on the first visit back.
If buildup is the main concern, see our guide to tackling a yard full of dog poop.
Understand the restart visit price
A returning-customer restart is separate from ordinary recurring maintenance. The standard initial or restart cleanup includes the first 30 minutes at the recurring visit rate, then $1 per actual additional minute beyond 30.
For example, if your confirmed recurring rate is $25 and the restart takes 45 minutes, the restart amount is $40: the $25 visit rate plus $15 for the additional 15 minutes. This is an example, not a quote for your property.
The eligible new recurring customer first-cleanup offer does not apply to returning-customer restarts. After the restart, ordinary recurring maintenance does not carry that initial-cleanup time surcharge. Review the current terms and your confirmed plan.
Update the property details
Confirm the current dog count, approximate service area, and number of separate sections. Tell us if you moved, changed fences, added locks, or started using a different part of the property.
Do not assume an old gate code still belongs in the account. Share updated access information privately through the agreed channel and confirm where pets will be during service.
Our gate access checklist is useful even if the property was previously serviced.
Confirm the route and first date again
A previous service day is not automatically reserved during a pause. Ask the team to confirm the available recurring day and restart date.
A submitted request starts the review process; it is not a scheduled visit by itself. Wait for confirmation before leaving a gate unlocked or arranging your day around an assumed arrival.
Choose the frequency that fits now
If your household or yard use changed, the old plan may no longer be the best fit. More dogs, less time for spot pickups, or greater use of the lawn can be reasons to review frequency.
Purge Pros’ current service has no minimum visits or cancellation fee, but communicate changes so the schedule can be updated correctly.
Check your ZIP and current price, or call (317) 961-5865 and tell us you are a returning customer. We can then review the restart and the ongoing plan together.
Review the current dog waste removal service before restarting, then confirm the present yard condition, scope and available route with the team.
